Stories need fonts

In the summer of 1988 my family and I packed up our things and moved from Bournemouth, England, to San Antonio, Texas. As a shy and culture-shocked 15 year-old, I took my first tentative steps toward my formative years as a budding American with more than a little trepidation.

I clung to my roots ferociously during those early years, and the memories I’d formed as a young, drainpipe jean-wearing, Branston Pickle-eating Brit served as the basis for what I now fondly refer to as my mid-Atlantic identity. These fonts and the stories that inspired them represent some of those early memories.

A million thanks to Dai Foldes for the font editing, and to Trent Walton for help with the site. Thanks also to Walter Coots, who helped make all of this possible.
